Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our courses and medical school preparation
What are the differences between the two medical schools in Hong Kong?
Both HKU and CUHK provide top-tier medical education. The key differences are:
- HKU encourages more self-learning through problem-based learning (PBL) and senior support.
- CUHK provides more structured guidance throughout learning.
- HKU's medical faculty is located further from the main campus, making it harder to participate in general university activities.
- CUHK offers better integration with non-medical peers.
What is IAL?
International A-Level (IAL) is a globally recognized qualification for students aiming to attend universities worldwide.
- In Hong Kong, non-DSE students enter university through the non-JUPAS route.
- Most university programs require three A-Level subjects, while medicine in Hong Kong requires four.
- Some programs, such as mathematics and engineering, have specific subject requirements and admission tests.
Where can I study the IAL? Can I take the IAL exams as a private candidate?
- Students can study IAL either through schools or private tutors.
- Many tuition centers take a less structured approach, leading to lower motivation.
- Our courses are designed to be fast, effective, and precisely structured to help students master IGCSE and IAS/IA2 in just 20 hours.
- Video lessons allow students to revisit and review topics as needed.
- A free WhatsApp Q&A service is available for ongoing support after completing the course.
Can I have a demonstration of the lessons?
- A sample of lesson videos has been uploaded on YouTube.
- Link to the video is provided for easy access.
