1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services provided by Starr Education ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

Starr Education provides educational services including but not limited to:

• IGCSE intensive courses and tutoring
• IAL (International A Level) intensive courses and tutoring
• Medical school preparation courses
• Academic consultation and guidance services
• Educational materials and resources

3. Course Registration and Payment

Registration

Students must register for courses in advance. Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment and enrollment confirmation.

Payment Terms

• Course fees must be paid in full before the course commencement date
• All fees are quoted in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD)
• Payment methods include bank transfer, cash, or other approved methods
• A receipt will be provided upon payment confirmation

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Student Cancellation

• More than 7 days before course start: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
• 3-7 days before course start: 50% refund
• Less than 3 days before course start: No refund
• After course commencement: No refund for unused sessions

Course Cancellation by Starr Education

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another available course.

5. Student Responsibilities

• Attend classes punctually and regularly
• Complete assigned homework and coursework
• Respect instructors, staff, and fellow students
• Maintain appropriate behavior during classes
• Bring necessary materials and textbooks as instructed
• Notify us in advance if unable to attend a session

6. Make-up Classes and Absences

Make-up classes may be arranged for students who miss sessions due to illness or emergency, subject to instructor availability and at our discretion. Students must provide:

• At least 24 hours advance notice for non-emergency absences
• Valid documentation for medical or emergency absences

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to handouts, notes, worksheets, and digital content, are the intellectual property of Starr Education. Students may use these materials for personal study but may not reproduce, distribute, or sell them without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide quality education, Starr Education cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes or examination results. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific course. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to maintain professional and respectful behavior. The following behaviors are not tolerated:

• Disruptive behavior during classes
• Harassment or discrimination of any kind
• Cheating or plagiarism
• Damage to property or equipment

Violation of the code of conduct may result in suspension or termination from the course without refund.

11. Modifications to Terms

Starr Education reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
